Residents are reminded that a burn permit is required for all outside fires. Burn permits are provided at no charge and must be obtained on the day you plan to burn. The state determines, daily, whether burning is allowed or not. Seasonal permits are available for campfires.

CPR classes are available at our station every month. Limit 15 per class. Please call 887-3878 or email chesterfire@mygsc.com to sign up.

Town of Chester Fire Department ISO classification rating may lower Homeowner’s Insurance BillsThe town of Chester has improved it’s fire-protection services rating by the ISO (Insurance Services Office). ISO ratings help insurance companies establish appropriate fire insurance premiums for residential and commercial properties.
