Chester Dancers
The Chester Dancers is a dance program dedicated to serving the children of Chester and the surrounding area. Classes are free of charge. Shoes and leotards belong to the organization and are loaned to the children for their use. The underlying premise of the organization is that no child should be denied access to classical training on the basis of income. Classes are for serious dance students. See website for more details.
There are two performances a year, in the spring and for Christmas, with costumes provided and no charges for participation or attendance at the shows. We exist on donations from parents and interested parties and occasional fund raisers. Classes are taught by Margaret Voss, former professional dancer, with many years experience in training children for the performing arts.
