Chester Conservation Commission and Squam Lakes Natural Science Center Presents Creatures of the Night, a Virtual Live Animal Program!

Meet real creatures of the night in this up close look at animal nightlife.

How do wild animals find food or escape predators in the dark of the night? Attendees won’t have to stay up late to get a close look at elusive nocturnal creatures in this virtual live animal presentation. Squam Lakes Natural Science Center will be presenting Creatures of the Night, a virtual live animal program, on Saturday, November 28th, 2020 at 5 p.m.

A Squam Lakes Natural Science Center naturalist introduces attendees to three live creatures of the night to learn how adaptations make these surprising animals well suited for life at night. Featured animal ambassadors may include one of New Hampshire’s very own owl species, a bat, an opossum, or a skunk.

If you are interested in attending, please email the Chester Conservation Commission at conservationcommission@chesternh.org .  Please give your address within your email to verify Chester residency.  Use "Creatures of the Night" as your subject heading.

This event is perfect for families to enjoy.  Children are encouraged to ask questions and participate.  Registration is limited; right now we are accepting only Chester residents but if there is still space closer to the date we will open it further.  On the day of the virtual event we will send a ZOOM link to all registered participants with guidelines.

This will be a fun way to virtually see wildlife and spend an hour on a fall Saturday evening.
