Message from the Emergency Management Department

State Officials are warning the public to take precautions for the extreme cold temperatures expected Friday through Saturday.  Bus stop temperature is expected to be – 5° Friday morning and will continue to fall throughout the day and overnight into Saturday.

Extreme temperatures paired with the wind chill factor could lead to potentially life-threatening conditions outdoors. For these reasons the Transfer Station will be closed on Saturday. Normal hours will resume Wednesday evening.

For anyone who needs a place to warm up the Library is open Friday from 1:00pm to 5:00pm and Saturday from 10:00am to 2:00pm. For any emergency sheltering needs please contact the Fire Department – (603) 887-3878.

As a friendly reminder, keep 3 feet of separation between heating sources and any objects, do not use a cooking stove as a heating source, be mindful of pets and their time outdoors, and check in on neighbors who may be at risk.
