Ongoing Eversource Work

Eversource recently requested and received permission from the Planning Board and Conservation Commission to move forward with structure replacements on the B172 transmission line located in the southeast part of Chester near the Pulpit Rock substation.
Below is a summary of the work to be done:
B172 Structure Replacement Program - Chester
- SCHEDULE: November 2019 – Summer of 2020.
- SCOPE: Replacing 6 wood structures with weathered steel.
- LOCATION: Haverhill Road
- PROJECT COMPLETION: After these 6 structures are replaced, 8 structures will remain out of a total of 18 structures, meaning that just over half of the structures on the B172 line will have been replaced with steel.
