Summer Program

WELCOME TO THE 2024 CHESTER RECREATION SUMMER PROGRAM

The summer program is held at the Wason Pond Conservation and Recreation Area and is open to Chester children (and children in the surrounding communities) entering 1st Grade to 8th Grade in the fall of 2024. The six week program will be held July 1st through August 9th. There will be no program held on July 4th and July 5th in honor of Independence Day.

WHEN  July 1st - August 9th. 

Half Day: 8am - 12pm.  Full Day 8am - 4pm.

COST 

$950.00 - Full Day Chester Resident

$475.00 - Half Day Chester Resident 

$200.00 - Non-Resident additional rate will be applied if applicable

REGISTRATION 

Registration will begin on or about April 1st through June 1st. There will be a $50.00 late fee for any registration received from June 2nd through June 15th. Registration fee must be paid in full on or before June 15th.

FIELD TRIPS

Field Trips are NOT included in the cost of registration and will be held on Wednesdays (beginning July 10th). There will be no program held back on site on field trip days (July 10, 17, 24, 31, August 7). Field trip registration will begin June 1st through June 15th. There are no refunds for field trips as they are prepaid based on signups.

WHAT IS CHESTER SUMMER PROGRAM

It is a municipal recreation program that is partially sponsored by the town and held at the Wason Pond Conservation and Recreation Area. Chester Recreation Department will offer a variety of activities throughout the day including swimming, sports/field games, hikes, arts and crafts, team building activities and much more!
