Pi Day Pie Contest!

Thursday, March 14, 2024 (All day)
Compete for fame, glory and bragging rights! Child and adult bakers can enter their homemade pies between 3PM and 7 PM on Monday, March 13th to be entered in our contest. Judging takes place on Tuesday, March 14th at 1PM.
Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each division.
Pie samples will be available to the public on Tuesday March 14th after 4PM until the pies run out.
Come to the library to pick up the Pie Baking Contest Form located at the Front Desk or email the following information to Jen at youthserviceschester@gmail.com
Your name, phone number and description of pie.
Choose one division out of the three: Kids Division (up to age 15), Adult Sweet Division, or Adult Savory Division.
Official Rules:
- NO STORE BOUGHT PIES.
- Pie diameter must be greater than 8 inches.
- Pie tins should be labeled clearly with baker’s name
- Bakers must deliver pies to the Chester Public Library between 3:00-7:00pm Wednesday, March 13th to compete.
- Winners will be announced Thursday, March 14th at 1:00pm
- All judge’s decisions are FINAL.
- This is a FUN competition! There is no entry fee.
- Prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place for “Kids” (15 and under), “Adult Sweet” and “Adult Savory” divisions. Pies are judged on overall appearance, creativity, taste and texture.
- Pie samples will be available to the public beginning at 4:00pm Thursday (until we run out of pie!)
