Announcement of Appointment

The Board of Selectmen are pleased to announce the appointment of Elizabeth Lufkin to the position of Town Clerk/Tax Collector for the Town of Chester, succeeding our recently resigned Town Clerk Erin Newnan. Liz’s first day will be Friday, February 1st, 2019. Her appointment will run through the Town Elections of Tuesday, May 14th, 2019.
They would also like to announce that Kathy Burke, current Supervisor of the Checklist, has agreed to assist Deputy Town Clerk Barbara Cannon in the Town Clerk/Tax Collector’s office during this transition period. Kathy is a former Assistant Town Clerk for the Town of Atkinson, NH, and her assistance is much appreciated.
