Interested in joining the Zoning Board of Adjustment?

The Zoning Board of Adjustment (ZBA) is looking for Chester residents, at least 18 years of age, who are interested in serving on the board as alternates.

The ZBA’s principal role is to review applications for zoning variances, special exceptions, equitable waivers of dimensional requirements, and hearing appeals from the decisions made by administrative officials.  The success or failure of zoning administration rests on the proper exercise of judgment by members of the ZBA.

They meet on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm in the Meeting Room at the Municipal Complex.  They ask that you attend at least two consecutive meetings and notify the Board Chair, Billie Maloney, that you are interested.

For more information, please contact their Administrative Assistant, Nancy Hoijer, via email or by calling (603) 887-3636, extension 113.
