Update: Fremont Road Bridge Replacement Work
The planned work to replace the Fremont Road Bridge has been scheduled for Wednesday, August 16th (weather dependent – could be pushed back if it continues to rain - which it was!). Due to the nature of the work, that area of Fremont Road will be closed to through traffic for approximately two months and a detour utilizing Pheasant Run Drive and Shepard Home Road will be necessary.
This map shows where the bridge replacement will be (red circle) – between 527 and 546 Fremont Road - and I have been informed that there will be nowhere to turn around, should people ignore the signage and drive that far.
This is likely to affect emergency services, local residents, people using CART, the school buses, residents heading to Fremont or Sandown, etc.
