Wason Pond Phase 3 Reopening Plan

Effective Monday, September 14, 2020, Phase 3 Reopening Plan will begin for Wason Pond Conservation and Recreation Area.

BEACH area will continue to be limited to capacity of up to 50 people in order to maintain physical distancing.

FIELDS will be open for recreational use. Any organized play or event must be reserved through the Recreation Department.

PARKING is open at all designated area - Field / Playground / Community Center.  Please do not park along the side of the road.  

PLAYGROUND is open during Phase 3.  The Water Bubbler will remain off (as per guidelines).

Park Benches, Picnic Tables, Playground, Portable Toilet and other park amenities are not regularly cleaned or sanitized - Use at Own Risk.  Visitors are encouraged to be prepared to bring their own hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol for use.  Please continue to follow all rules and regulations for Wason Pond Conservation and Recreation Area.

Parks, trails, and open spaces can provide opportunities for physical activity while also providing opportunities for respite, health, and wellness. People are encouraged to use parks, trails, and open spaces safely while following current guidance to prevent the spread of COVID-19 including CDC guidance for Face Coverings, Hygiene and Staying Home if symptomatic.

As you make plans to get outdoors remember Be Safe, Be Well, and Be Local so that we can keep our park open. The availability of facilities to remain open will be determined by whether everyone is following all of the precautions.
