Kidsight Vision Screening with the Chester Lions Club

Event Date:
Tuesday, April 25, 2023 - 10:00am

The Chester NH Lions Club, part of the greater Lions Club International, an international  community based service organization, is bringing Vision Screening to the Chester Public Library on Tuesday April 25 at 10:00

What is KidSight Vision Screening? Lions KidSight is a nation-wide program that enables Lions clubs across the country to provide their communities with free vision screenings, referrals and follow-up care when needed.

Why KidSight Vision Screening? 1-in-3 children naturally have poor but correctable vision, often just needing eyeglasses. Through KidSight Vision Screening, children can receive a free, basic, touchless, digital vision screening. It’s easy, proven, and very effective at detecting early vision challenges that require professional care.

What Anomalies Are Detected with 98% accuracy?

  • Astigmatism (irregularly shaped corneas or lenses)
  • Myopia (nearsightedness)
  • Hyperopia (farsightedness)
  • Anisometropia (differences between the two eyes)
  • Strabismus (misalignment of the eyes)
  • Amblyopia (lazy eye)
  • Anisocoria (pupil size anomalies)

Who participates in KidSight Vision Screening? All children aged 6 months and up can receive this free screening. Children need not be verbal or have letter recognition!
