Annual Poinsettia Fundraiser

Together with the help of D.S. Cole Growers, a local grower with greenhouses in Loudon, N.H., the American Legion is able to offer Poinsettias in 3 different pot diameter sizes: 6 ½” (1 plant per pot), 7” (2 plants per pot),  and 8” (3 plants per pot) and in 3 different colors per size (Red, White, and Pink).  Again being offered this year are additional specialty Poinsettias:

"Starry Night" - White dyed blue and dusted with silver glitter,
“Sugar Cookie”, this is a white poinsettia with white iridescent glitter,
the “Rudolph” red with fine red glitter dusted on top, and
the “Spirit of Christmas” a rich red poinsettia sparkles with gold glitter.

The prices are the same as last year and range from as low as $13 to the highest being $30.  All of the Poinsettias are grown in glass greenhouses and have multiple branches to create a much fuller plant.  Each plant includes a pot cover for added decoration and to protect from water leakage.  They are packed in a protective sleeve for easy transportation and to avoid damage to the plant.

The Legion hopes that anyone who would like to participate in the fundraiser will print the attached order form and buy or sell as many Poinsettias as they wish to their family, friends, teachers, co-workers, etc. They will once again be selling them during the Veterans Day Breakfast in November.  They will also try to have some samples to display and to sell this year during the breakfast.

All completed forms should be back to John by Tuesday, November 12th or you can call or email him with your order.  All plants will be ready to pick up at the Post on Friday night, December 6th between 5:00pm - 7:00pm and Saturday, December 7th between 10:00am - 2:00pm.

If possible, and you would like to get your plant(s) before Thanksgiving, please let John know ASAP and he can try to make arrangements with the growers.

If anyone has any questions, comments, or suggestions, please contact John at (617) 842-4957 or via email.
