Open Offices for 2023 Town Election

The moment you've all been waiting for..... 

Registered voters in the Town of Chester may file their Intent for Candidacy for open offices in the Town Clerk's office beginning January 25th - February 3rd.  If you would like to know more information on a particular office please visit their page on the Town's website or the New Hampshire Municipal Association. Many of the offices listed have RSA's that direct and dictate the roles & responsibilities.

The following seats are open for candidacy:

2023 Town Election & Town Meeting:

Town elections will be held in the Multi-Purpose Room at 84 Chester Street, Chester, NH 03036 from 7:00am to 7:00pm on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.  Town Meeting will follow on Thursday, March 16, 2023, in the Multi-Purpose Room beginning at 6:00pm.

Petitioned Warrant Articles

To have a warrant article placed on the Town Meeting Warrant, voters must submit their written petitions to the Town Clerk’s office by Tuesday, February 7, 2023. The submitted document must contain the exact wording of the warrant article the voters seek to have placed on the warrant, and have 25 or more signatures with sufficient information about each voter signing the petition to allow officials to validate that the signature is that of a registered Chester voter. Sufficient information- printed name and street address along with their signature.
